Wash by hand and dry flat permanently
Which means, the only way to preserve your cashmere product is washing it by hands. Ensure you handwash your cashmere with mild soap and lukewarm water. Wash brand new silk undergarments in cold water, and do not put them in the dryer — lay completely flat to dry. Cashmere garments should not be hung, as hanging can cause them to stretch out of shape. To keep your cashmere (past, present or future) soft and snuggly, YUANRON recommends this method.

To remove the little pills that form on your cashmere pieces, buy a good quality cashmere comb. Fold any cashmere items rather than hanging them :

Don't hang them up in the closet; fold them and put them inside a drawer or on a shelf. Cashmere products can stretch if hung up.
